Partygoers at a central Auckland flat say their house shook “like an earthquake” after an Uber ploughed into it.
About 20 people were gathered at the Freemans Bay property on Picton St for a 21st birthday when a car careened down a steep driveway and into the lower level at
about 8pm.
One flatmate, who did not want to be named, said guests were enjoying pre-drinks upstairs when the crash happened.
“We were inside celebrating and the house just shook like an earthquake,” she said.
