Australian rapper Briggs, who was speaking on a panel of Australian creatives calling on the federal government not to adopt text and data mining exemptions from copyright law for generative AI models, was asked by independent senator David Pocock whether AI could currently make a fake Briggs track. 'I doubt it very much. I don't think AI at the moment understands what a lounge room in Shepparton, Victoria smells like. It is the innate human quality of the art,' he said
