Morris Katz, the 26-year-old wunderkind lauded as one of the “masterminds” behind Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s successful campaign, spewed hot takes deeply at odds with his outspoken progressive current politics when he was even younger. The trove of now-deleted posts on X, formerly known as Twitter, show Katz had been far more moderate a half-decade ago, Politico first reported Thursday. The political adviser had dismissively dissed Mamdani’s hero, socialist Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, as inferior to the moderate slice of white bread Pete Buttigieg.
