A motorcyclist died Saturday afternoon, Feb. 28, in a collision on Highway 29, south of Yountville.
The rider, whose name hasn’t been released, broadsided a 2018 Tesla Model X at the intersection of Hoffman Lane, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Napa office.
Just after 4 p.m. Saturday, the motorcyclist was riding a 2019 KTM Duke at a high rate of speed on southbound Highway 29, authorities said. He approached the intersection as the Tesla’s driver crossed the southbound lanes while turning left from Hoffman onto northbound Highway 29.
