American electric carmaker Tesla launched its first supercharging station in Mumbai today, August 4. This comes weeks after the company kicked off its operations in India. It opened its first showroom in Mumbai last month.

The Elon Musk-led company's first supercharging station in India is set up at One BKC in the Bandra-Kurla Complex.
This charging station has 4 superchargers and 4 AC chargers.
The charging capacity of the AC charger is 11kwh.
The charging capacity of the supercharger is 250Kwh
Charging with a supercharger will cost Rs 24 per kilowatt, while charging with AC charger will cost Rs 14 per kilowatt.
The car will run 267 km on 15 minutes of charging.
It will cost Rs 1440 to fully charge the 60kWh battery with a supercharger.
Tesla charging stations will be in BKC, Lower Parel, Thane, Navi Mumbai.
Tesla charging stations will open in four locations in Mumbai and four locations in Delhi.
Currently, preparations are on to install 16 superchargers and 16 AC charging stations.
Supercharging stalls offer peak charging speed of 250 kW for a price of Rs 24/kW and Rs 11/kW for 11kW of charging speed. Currently, the charging speed offered at this station is 11kW.
