Tesla hasn’t made any official announcement, but has simply removed them from its new car configurator in Europe.
American EV carmaker Tesla has discontinued its Model S and Model X flagship models in Europe. They will now be available only in America and Canada.
Interest in the Model X and S began to taper off after the introduction of the more affordable Model 3 and Model Y. As it stands today, the Model S and X together make up less than 3 percent of the company’s quarterly sales.
Tesla hasn’t made any official announcement, but has simply removed them from its new car configurator in Europe. The brand is still actively selling Model Ss and Model Xs from its inventory, but once that is exhausted, they will no longer be on sale.
Tesla had recently refreshed both the models on the exterior and interior. These changes include revised front and rear fascias for the Plaid models, a new Frost Blue colour, new suspension bushings, an improved Active Noise Cancellation system, and configurable ambient lighting in the cabin.
Tesla could replace both models with a new flagship sedan and a three-row SUV. While they are still a good buy, they have begun to show their age, especially when it comes to competing with newer rivals.
