By Space Coast Daily // August 1, 2025 Coverage of the launch can be seen on Space Coast Daily TV WATCH LIVE: SpaceX Crew-11 Launch Set for Friday Morning at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center BREVARD COUNTY • KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLORIDA – SpaceX successfully launched its 11th operational crewed mission to the International Space Station Friday morning, sending four astronauts into orbit aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. Liftoff occurred on schedule at 11:43 a.m. ET, beginning the Crew-11 mission under NASA’s Commercial Crew Program. The mission marks another milestone in the ongoing partnership between NASA and SpaceX to maintain a continuous U.S. presence on the ISS. The Dragon spacecraft used for this mission has a strong flight history, having previously supported Demo-2, Crew-2, Ax-1, Crew-6, and Crew-8 missions. After stage separation, Falcon 9’s first stage booster successfully returned to Earth, landing at Landing Zone 1 (LZ-1) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. (SpaceX Image) While aboard the ISS, the Crew-11 astronauts will support a wide range of scientific experiments aimed at preparing for future deep space missions and improving life on Earth. Their stay will include work on biomedical research, technology demonstrations, and Earth-observation studies.
