Not surprisingly, an issue with your vehicle's odometer can be a serious problem. Any discrepancy in the records can result in the vehicle being listed with a “True Mileage Unknown” status — which, of course, hurts the overall value of the car. Hopefully Tesla is able to rectify this issue, as well as prevent it from happening to other owners.
