SpaceX launched its Starship rocket on its 11th test flight early Tuesday, marking another step in Elon Musk’s ambitious plan to send humans to Mars.
The massive rocket, the most powerful ever built, lifted off at 1:25 a.m. and splashed down in the Indian Ocean about an hour later, according to Reuters.
NASA plans to use Starship for future crewed missions to the Moon under its Artemis program. Musk has said the rocket is central to his long-term vision of interplanetary travel.
