Hear this story Elon Musk’s Boring Company is partnering with Tennessee to build an underground tunnel linking downtown Nashville to the airport, according to sources familiar with the plan. Details are expected to be announced July 28. The Boring Company has already tunneled through Vegas with three Loop projects, built test tunnels in Texas and California, and is designing a 10.6-mile track in Dubai. Unlike subways, their Loop system can skip the stops — passengers can ride straight to their destination, like an underground express lane in Tesla vehicles or shuttles. Musk is also seeking approval to launch autonomous Tesla ride-hailing robotaxis, which debuted in Austin, Tex., in Florida, Nevada, Arizona, California and beyond.
