Tesla’s much-talked-about Hollywood diner is almost ready. Located on Santa Monica Boulevard, right in the heart of LA’s Media District, the site is now listed on the Tesla app, signalling that the launch is just around the corner. The venue combines an electric vehicle Supercharger station, a retro-themed diner and a drive-in movie theatre.
The construction of the Hollywood Diner began in September 2023. While the app still shows the site as “temporarily closed,” insiders suggest this is one of the final steps before the public opening.

The Tesla Hollywood diner features 80 of the latest V4 Superchargers, each delivering up to 325 kW. As of now, only one charger appears out of service, a strong sign that the infrastructure is nearly complete.
The real twist? Diners can order food directly from their car’s touchscreen, and meals will be served in Cybertruck-shaped boxes. Two giant 45-foot LED screens will play movies, with the audio synced through Tesla’s built-in speakers.
This unique dining-and-entertainment concept was confirmed by CEO Elon Musk, who recently visited the site and called it “one of the coolest spots in LA”.
Menu and experience
Expect classic American comfort food with a futuristic touch: burgers, fries, hot dogs, chicken wings, and hand-spun milkshakes, all delivered in a sleek, nostalgic style.
The site also features luxury restrooms, elevators for accessibility, a display of the Optimus robot and a merchandise corner for Tesla diner-themed shirts and hats.
Open 24 hours, charging at $0.42/kWh
Open around the clock, the Tesla Hollywood Diner is more than a novelty; it’s a fully functioning charging hub with entertainment and dining. Charging rates at the location are listed as $0.42 per kWh.
Musk first floated the idea back in 2018, imagining a “drive-in, roller skates & rock” diner at a Supercharger station. Fast forward to 2025, and that vision is becoming a reality.
