The new Model Y L will be slotted above the AWD trim and will be packed with a twin-motor setup. The front motor has an output of 142 kW and 198 kW for the rear, and a top speed of 201 kmph. Reports have revealed that the Model Y L will be powered by ternary batteries supplied by LG Energy Solution. The new EV’s kerb weight is 2,088 kg, while the standard Model Y weighs 1,992 kg. Tesla has not revealed the official price of the Model Y L, but local media have reported it could start from $55,000, while the standard RWD version starts from $36,700 and the AWD costs $43,680. After launching the Model Y L in China, it is expected for Tesla to bring it to the North America market. TOPICS
