The creator of this wood Tesla Cybertruck and Elon Musk both have something in common: They know it's hard to build a Cybertruck. While it's taken Tesla years to drag the Cybertruck and its finicky stainless-steel bodywork close to production, there's someone who whittled one out of wood in just 100 days. And though the Cybertruck is close to reaching customers, technically, Elon and company are still going through it.
0:00 / 0:00 The Internet is full of cool things (like this deer incident, for example) but this wooden Tesla just might take the cake, and not merely for its impressively short development time. It looks like a fully functional, driving Tesla Cybertruck that ditched its polarizing stainless steel body for one made of dead trees. A user account called ND-WoodArt posted this literal work of art, showing off the progress and finished product in a sub two-minute clip on X, formerly Twitter. To say we're impressed with this wood Tesla Cybertruck is an understatement.

A custom metal frame with functioning suspension underpins the lumber Cybertruck. True to form, it's propelled by an electric drivetrain, probably a good thing since gasoline could set this grained project (we actually don't know what kind of wood was used) ablaze in the blink of an eye.

The metal frame serves as the foundation for the wood body and interior; All of the body panels are sculpted out of wood. The proportions look pretty spot-on, don't they? We think the size is a little off, but you'd only figure that out if a real Cybertruck pulled up alongside it. Luckily, the Cybertruck is pretty angular and not so curvy, which must have been advantageous. (Not that any of this is easy.) The woodworker constructed the floor, seats, center console, and dashboard out of wood. There are functioning wood-covered, metal-framed doors, functional side mirrors, wood wheels (wood inserts that cover traditional wheels), and a Cybertruck-style steering wheel fittingly chiseled out of wood.

If you look carefully, there's a windshield wiper for keeping the plexiglass windshield clean and clear, although we really hope it's not frequently used. Functional lighting abounds, and the hood opens via remote. As for tech, there's an iPad mounted on the dash mimicking Tesla's dash-mounted display.

Loaded in the bed is a wooden, kid-sized four-wheel Cyberquad (as if a wood Cybertruck is not enough). The functional tailgate doubles as an extendable loading ramp for the quad.
