The first deliveries will take place at a live event for the occasion on December 1st. We expect a full breakdown of the truck’s specifications and there’s a chance that Tesla might even throw in a surprise or two along the way. Back on October 6th of this year, Elon Musk announced the start of production of the Tesla Semi. He also made it clear that the first deliveries would take place on December 1st but now we know that those hand-offs will take place at a special event. Martin Viecha, head of investor relations at Tesla, confirmed the event on Twitter. “If you want to attend the Semi delivery event as a retail shareholder, please make sure you have a verified shareholder status on our IR website (unverified manual submissions are eligible if the paperwork is correct). We’ll be doing a random draw where 1 share = 1 entry,” his Tweet said. He’s referencing the Tesla Shareholder Program launched in July.
