Hate it see it. I mean seriously, this is the program that NASA is relying on to get us back to the moon and we have four explosions this year.
Not exactly the step forward anyone was hoping for, right?
At this point, I think Elon has to lay off the politics and arguing with President Donald Trump on X. Time to refocus and get back to SpaceX Starships and all things rockets, brother.
That’s what you’re actually good at and who knows how long we have left on planet earth. We need a trip to Mars as quickly as possible and rockets blowing up like the 4th of July on a monthly basis just ain’t cutting it.
At the very least, nobody was hurt during the latest “anomaly,” which is impressive. Starship 36 absolutely disintegrated on the stand during a routine test at Starbase in Texas. Flames shot into the night sky like the final scene of a Christopher Nolan movie, and somehow no one got touched.
Credit to SpaceX. Their “safety clear area” must be the size of Hiroshima, because that explosion was theater.
SpaceX says they’ll investigate. They’ll fix the issue. They’ll keep moving. That’s fine. That’s expected. This is hard work. But it’s getting harder to keep pretending like the Starship program is right on track when a fourth one goes kaboom in six months.
On that note, I still don’t understand why people want the SpaceX Starship program to fail? I mean I get it, people don’t like Elon Musk but we’re talking about space travel.
Some things are bigger than politics.
Not to mention, this is rocket science. It’s supposed to be hard. Mocking a setback like this shows a serious lack of understanding. SpaceX is the only organization actually pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
Elon Musk is the only person on the planet building real systems to get us back to the Moon and eventually to Mars. That matters a lot more than whatever social media beef people have with him.
We should all want SpaceX to succeed. This is the only company building actual hardware to take us off this planet. Everyone else is either too slow, too bloated, or still pitching slide decks. SpaceX is doing the work.
Instead, people are acting like a SpaceX Starship exploding is something worth celebrating because they don’t like Elon Musk. It’s embarrassing. You’ve got people who have never built a Lego set mocking a company that’s launching orbital rockets multiple times a year.
Again, NASA is relying on SpaceX to carry the Artemis program. That’s not a coincidence. Like him or not, Elon Musk is the only person right now pushing humanity beyond low Earth orbit.
SpaceX is doing it faster and more successfully than any other company or country. Boeing isn’t. Blue Origin isn’t. China is trying, but they’re not close.
This isn’t about politics or billionaires. It’s about the future. We should want SpaceX to succeed. We should want Starship to work. Because if it does, we all benefit.
A successful Starship means more scientific research, better satellite infrastructure, and the possibility of exploring and colonizing other worlds. That’s not science fiction anymore. It’s happening in real time.
