Brevard EOC activates ahead of SpaceX launch Update 11:11 p.m.: Brevard County Emergency Management officials have activated the agency's launch operations support team ahead of SpaceX’s upcoming Falcon 9 launch. 401st flight of a Falcon 9 Update 11:00 p.m.: During a Starlink launch on May 16 from California, SpaceX posted that it was the 400th flight of a Falcon 9 rocket. That makes this launch tonight from Cape Canaveral the 401st time a Falcon 9 has ever lifted off a launch pad. Long time followers may recall the Of Course I Still Love You drone ship being stationed off the coast of Florida. The drone ship was relocated in 2021 to California to support the increase in launches from Vandenberg Space Force Base. Tonight's Cape Canaveral liftoff is still targeted for 11:58 p.m. SpaceX Florida weather update Update 10:50 p.m.: According to the National Weather Service radar, the weather looks clear at both the launch and booster landing locations. Seeing the Falcon 9 booster in Port Canaveral Update 10:40 p.m.: In the coming days the Falcon 9 booster will sail into Port Canaveral on the drone ship, where it will be recovered and brought to the Cape for refurbishment. The boosters are docked for a short time behind the restaurants, across the waters of the port. This booster will be lighter in color when it comes back, as its counterparts have seen multiple trips through the atmosphere. SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket sees first flight Update 10:25 p.m.: Curious about previous flights for this Falcon 9? Zero. The first-stage, or booster, of this rocket is seeing the launch pad for the first time.
