A SpaceX rocket has exploded into a massive fireball before launch.
The Starship rocket was preparing for its 10th test flight at Starbase in Texas when it experienced what SpaceX described as a "major anomaly".
The rocket exploded into a giant fireball just after 11pm local time, marking the latest failure for the space flight company.
The company said no injuries were caused and there were no hazards to the surrounding communities.

SpaceX said in a statement on X, formerly Twitter: "On Wednesday, June 18 at approximately 11 p.m. CT, the Starship preparing for the tenth flight test experienced a major anomaly while on a test stand at Starbase.

"A safety clear area around the site was maintained throughout the operation and all personnel are safe and accounted for.
"Our Starbase team is actively working to safe the test site and the immediate surrounding area in conjunction with local officials.
