BREVARD COUNTY • CPAE CANAVERAL SPACE FORCE STATION – A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched 23 Starlink satellite from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station just after 6 p.m. on Sunday.
The Falcon 9’s first stage returned to Earth for a vertical landing about eight minutes after launch and will land on the droneship Just Read the Instructions, which is stationed off the east coast of Florida.
This was the 13th launch and landing for the booster, and the Falcon 9 upper stage deployed the 23 Starlink satellites in low Earth orbit about 65 minutes after liftoff.
This weekend, SpaceX launched two of Europe’s Galileo navigation satellites on Saturday from Florida’s Space Coast and SpaceX’s 30th robotic Dragon cargo mission to the International Space Station for NASA will end up today as the capsule departed the orbiting lab at around 1:05 p.m., bringing scientific samples and experiments with it.
